Pugs are curious (and hungry!) little dogs. When we’re outside on an adventure with our dog, every time we turn our heads she seems to find something peculiar to nibble on. Flowers, plants, bugs, and sticks beware!
We love pugs, but even the cutest pugs have their stinky moments. If only they had a natural fragrance to match their delightful personalities. We can dream, can’t we?

Leaving the house can be a challenge when you know you have to leave your pug behind for a little while. Even though it’s hard to watch those sad eyes as you put on your shoes and get ready to go, it’s nice to know that you will be missed and that someone will be very happy to see you when you return!

Each month we celebrate wonderful pugs in the world with our Pug of the Month photo contest! Our Facebook pug fans submit photos of their pugs and vote to decide who will be crowned the winner each month. We are excited to announce that Pickles was victorious and is our July Pug of the Month! Here we can see Pickles dutifully delivering the day’s homework :).
Pugs have the uncanny ability to be both hilariously awkward and amazingly glamorous. When we look at photos of our dog, we’re often impressed by how unbelievably photogenic she is, and then we can’t stop laughing at some of the more unflattering candid shots we have. Switching to black and white though seems to always add a touch of class and elegance to any photo. We’ll have to try it with Nickie!

This is the sort of expression that you might see on your pug when, for example, you have just eaten the last piece of bacon without sharing or you put on jeans and now your pug knows you’ll be leaving the house soon. We’re always amazed at the many amazing (and adorable) expressions that pugs make. How they are feeling is written all over their cute little faces!

Pugs are not well-suited for life in the summer sun, and it’s important to make sure your pug stays cool on these hot days. One of our pug’s favorite ways to cool off after playing outside is by laying nice and flat on our chilly kitchen tiles. It looks like other pugs have adopted this strategy too!

There are so many things to love about pugs, and one is how much they adore us. No matter what sort of awkward, ungraceful, or otherwise embarrassing moment of yours they witness, they still think you are just the greatest. It’s good to have friends like this!

This is probably a familiar sight for any pug owner. Any time we open something that makes a crinkly noise like chips or cereal, our pug comes running into the kitchen to see if there might be snacks to share. It’s not a bad diet plan, since seeing her pleading eyes makes us feel guilty enough to think twice about getting a snack next time.
