Every girl likes to feel glamorous, and Nickie is no exception. Deep down beneath the wrinkles, the rolls, and the snoring, she is definitely a little princess. Sometimes you just need a great piece of jewelry to feel all dressed up, and necklaces are Nickie’s favorite.
Another week is almost over, and we couldn’t be more ready for a fun weekend with our pug Nickie. I think she’s stretching to prepare herself for some serious quality time. Happy Friday everyone!
It’s okay, pug. We aren’t ready either. The good news? It’s already Thursday! The bad news? It’s only Thursday. Does anyone else feel like these cold winter days are going by slower than they should? Nickie is looking like she could definitely use a little extra rest and relaxation.
It’s not that hard to sneak up on a pug. Also, our pug is particularly alarmed by many everyday household items – bags, boxes, chairs, really anything that moves faster than a snail has the potential to be terrifying. Here is one of her best surprised moments.
We imagine most pugs do a little bit of moping when it’s time to say goodbye in the morning, but Nickie is being particularly sad today. Trust us pug, we understand that it would be much more fun to stay at home and play with you, but the cubicles are calling.
Winter is well underway, and what pug wouldn’t want to have warm feet? Nickie is now prepared to face the cold floors with her brand new (and adorable) socks. This is the first time our pug has ever worn socks. Judging by her face in some of these, it is possible that we are more excited about the socks than Nickie.
Of course our pug Nickie is stunning with or without her accessories, but sometimes it’s fun to add a little extra sparkle to make a statement. We think blue is really her color, and she is looking marvelous in her pretty blue necklace today.
There’s no better way to start a fantastic Saturday, than with some invigorating playtime after breakfast. (Nickie recognizes the value of the most important meal of the day and refuses to do anything until she has had her breakfast. She is definitely a good influence on us.) I think the octopus was surprised to be caught so easily.
It’s funny to us how Nickie is not a fan of the camera… until she is less than six inches away from it. At this point, there is an unstoppable magnetism between her and the camera, and she will stop at nothing to sniff and lick it. We were just taking a few normal pictures when she suddenly could not resist the urge to be as close as possible to the camera. Voila – ultra close-up.
We tried to explain to Nickie how it would be a great idea if she could just go ahead and go to work in our place today. We told her about the car ride there and all about the awesome cafeteria. We totally had her attention (and an intrigued head tilt) at cafeteria, but I don’t think she was on board with the whole “working” part. Maybe we’ll try again another day.
