We were trying to spend some quality time out on the patio with Nickie this morning, but after a brief romp around the yard, she was ready to go back inside and take a nap. It looks like she is not in the mood for enjoying nature this morning. Maybe we’ll try again this afternoon.
The weekend is the perfect time to pack up your pug in the car and go cruising around. I know Nickie loves hopping in the car with us with the breeze in her face and some tunes on the radio. Here are our favorite pictures of pugs out on the town for a drive.
#1) Come on guys! It’s go time!

The daffodils in our yard are in full bloom now, and Nickie loves to take a break from her outdoor explorations to bask in their sweet smells. Here she is enjoying some of her favorite spring flowers.
This charming portrait of a pug was created by English artist William H. Hopkins in 1880. We don’t think there is any way that Nickie would stand still enough for a portrait, unless she was painted while sleeping.
Another morning and another Monday. Sometimes you need a little something to get you motivated to greet the day. Nickie is enjoying some treats out of her favorite mug. It just so happens to also be our favorite mug as well.
With all the big hail storms, thunder storms, and tornadoes coming through lately, this is a pretty accurate description at this point. We’ve got a pretty solid tornado plan though:
Step 1: Scoop up pug and scamper to basement.
Step 2: Hide under blankets and be snuggly until further notice.

Margaret Collyer was well-known for her many paintings of canines throughout her career. We think she really captured the essence of a pug when she painted the cuddly and loyal companion in “True Friends Girl and Black Pug” in 1908.
It’s time to unveil the winner of our March Pug of the Month contest hosted on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/AboutPug). We’re delighted to introduce you to a charming pug named Camo who is enjoying some snuggle time in his zebra print blanket. Congratulations to you, Camo!
Yet another Monday morning is here to greet us just a tad too early for our tastes. Maybe a little coffee will cure the Monday morning grogginess.
