We know it’s important to take some time on the weekends to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Here, Nickie is enjoying one of the oh-too-familiar scents of springtime. Dandelions in our yard. Let this year’s lawn-care battle begin!
Nickie had a good, sudsy scrub down before we put on her flea and tick solution for the month. As you can probably tell, she is not a fan of bath time, but she puts up with us for the treats that come afterwards. It’s a good thing pugs don’t need daily baths!
We put some tasty treats in a basket for Nickie to find this morning, but she wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. The springy Easter grass must have been deterring her from grabbing her treats. Eventually we were able to coax her into taking a few cookies from the basket, and now she’s happily napping after her snack. We hope everyone has a very happy Easter!
We were trying to spend some quality time out on the patio with Nickie this morning, but after a brief romp around the yard, she was ready to go back inside and take a nap. It looks like she is not in the mood for enjoying nature this morning. Maybe we’ll try again this afternoon.
The daffodils in our yard are in full bloom now, and Nickie loves to take a break from her outdoor explorations to bask in their sweet smells. Here she is enjoying some of her favorite spring flowers.
Another morning and another Monday. Sometimes you need a little something to get you motivated to greet the day. Nickie is enjoying some treats out of her favorite mug. It just so happens to also be our favorite mug as well.
It is an absolutely beautiful day here! Nickie is looking forward to lounging around all day in her sun dress. Maybe we’ll head out to the back porch this afternoon to sip some iced tea out in the sun. We’re pretty sure spring is Nickie’s favorite season.
Nickie is a smart little pug, and she has learned where her food and all her tasty treats are kept (the pantry). She often just sits or stands right in front of the pantry and gazes longingly upward, hoping treats will fall from it’s high shelves. It’s a good thing she’s too short to sneak in there and raid the pantry.
