Our pug has an interesting habit of being fast asleep in another room until the moment we start snacking on something delicious. At that moment she springs into action to linger nearby and tries to charm her way into a snack.

Pugs are the best listeners
Most people talk to their dogs, but when we talk to our pug, it seems like she’s really listening intently. She’ll often chime in with heavy sighs and sounds of agreement or surprise when appropriate. Maybe it’s the head tilts that really seal the deal and convince us that she must have some idea what we are talking about!

Reluctant Pug
Pugs have so much character, and they are known for having quite a stubborn streak. We have learned that when our pug decides she is done walking, then she is definitely done walking. This pug appears to be not so sure about this whole “long walks on the beach” idea.

Trouble times two!
We love pugs, and we know that they are experts at getting into trouble when they have the proper motivation. What pug could resist diving into the recycling and playing in all the old newspapers (and nibbling on the tastiest pages)? Our pug definitely has a weakness for chewing up paper, so we have to be extra careful to help her stay out of trouble!

Pugs are connoisseurs of coziness. They are quite good at identifying the most comfortable place in the house (probably your bed), and making it their own. For such small dogs, they sure can take up a lot of space when they want to!

Ready for a refreshing run in the rain!
We’re not big runners, but there is something particularly refreshing about a run on a cool, rainy day. It looks like this pug is ready to hit the road for a nice morning run!

Don’t mind me, just stealing your hair tie… and your heart!
Most pug owners have had at least one experience where they are looking for that other sock, an important paper, or their favorite hair accessory, only to discover that it has been commandeered by their adorable pug. Even though you upturned the whole house looking for that one thing, you can’t even get upset at your pug for sneaking away with it (who knows how many hours ago). They were just keeping it safe for you until you retrieved it, right?

Waiting patiently to be petted
Pugs are great models, patiently enduring photo endless photo sessions. (So cute, just one more picture!) It’s probably because they know that once the clicking of the shutter stops, they are in for some serious cuddling and maybe even a treat!
